Ninaatig is an amazing language instructor with deep knowledge in Anishinaabemowin. In his beginner's classes, he is very thorough when teaching the grammar, and at the same time he's very friendly and uses a lot of humor, which makes learning with him very enjoyable. His mix of grammar lessons, practicing in small groups, singing, and sharing advice on further resources is great. Ninaatig's enthusiasm for Anishinaabemowin is very contagious, even after three days of conjugating verbs! I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn Anishinaabemowin, from beginner to advanced learner.

This intensive is the most well-structured introduction to Anishinaabemowin grammar that I have encountered. I really appreciate the time and energy that Ninaatig has invested into planning a course of study with the scope and depth necessary for developing beginner fluency in the language. I also feel more confident in knowing the key elements of Anishinaabemowin that are needed, like pillars, to support the development of advanced fluency.
