Ninaatigoons Learning

Ninaatigoons Learning was started to help create a world where our children can speak Anishinaabemowin at home and in the community.  We strive to deliver programs and resources for a wide audience: children and their parents, independent learners, organizations, and community. 

Ninaatig

Ninaatig is from Wiikwemkoong and Six Nations, and is Loon and Turtle clan. He has been learning Anishinaabemowin for over 10 years. First, taking community classes at the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto; then classes at McMaster University. He pursued a position with the Wikwemikong Heritage Organization while attending the Anishinaabemowin Immersion Certificate at Kenjigewin Teg Educational Institute. He has completed Eshki-nishnaabemjig and Ojibwemotaadidaa Omaa Gidakiiminaang immersions programs. 

 

 

Ninaatig pursued his Bachelor of Education to share his love of Anishinaabemowin. He later pursued his Master of Education to refine his pedagogy. 

 

He has worked for the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, the Toronto District School Board, York Regional District School Board, York University, and the University of Toronto teaching Anishinaabemowin.
